Fred Way is an American/Canadian agricultural and development advisor with a long history of engagement in Africa. He volunteered in DR Congo when it was still Zaire, spent many years at Cyimbili on today’s Congo Nile Trail, and can still be regularly found in Malawi, Uganda and elsewhere. Fred’s home, however, is Port Angeles under the Olympic Mountains, Washington. [bio updated: 2026-03]
