Happy of UWA Kisoro receiving Gorilla Highlands Pocket Guides 2016

It was not a little job to add Rwanda to the Gorilla Highlands Pocket Guide, almost double the number of pages (now 40) and make it all happen during the high tourism season. But we have managed!

As we distribute the booklets, we are already in the middle of the next huge stage: expanding this website to properly include Rwanda. At the moment you might run into doubled pages, different layouts and photo-less text but please bear with us. By the end of this month the Gorilla Highlands of Uganda and Rwanda will be a beautiful reality not only on the pages of our big little booklet but online too.

You can already find the Gorilla Highlands Pocket Guide at our advertisers and UWA offices in Kisoro, at Mgahinga, Nkuringo, Ruhija, Buhoma and Ishasha. Delivery to Lake Bunyonyi and Rushaga is in progress. We will reach Kigali on Monday morning and continue with Kampala next week.

The photos below show some moments from the high-intensity process that took about a month…
