We bring souvenirs from our travels; some tangible, some not. A visit to the Gorilla Highlands region is an experience powerful enough that there should be a whole bunch of interesting things stored at your homes… Would you be so kind to share them with the world, together with your special memories? Please contact us!
Let us kick the Mementos off with a story from Norway. In July 2015 we took 5 very fit Norwegians for a 8-day trek that has become known as the Ultimate Hike. They walked from Lake Bunyonyi to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, visited the mountain gorillas and climbed a volcano there, and then hiked again to Buhoma in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, crossing Lake Mutanda. For the last couple of days they went for a safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park and checked on Lake Mburo on their way to Entebbe Airport.
And then… Well, let’s hear it from our reporter:

When we got home Bjørn found out that he had a toad as a stowaway in his bag. It’s of course not allowed to bring foreign animals into Norway, but after a lot of back and forward with the Food Safety Authority (who is in charge of that kind of matter, and at first demanded to kill it), Miss Lake Mutanda Uganda (the toad’s name) moved into the Oslo Reptile Park, where she (it’s maybe a he for all I know) is going to be the big attraction from Uganda. We will visit Miss Lake Mutanda Uganda from time to time, and then she will of course bring back memories from one of the best summers ever.
