A fully loaded car departed from Lake Bunyonyi at 1pm today
The gear was unloaded at Gad Inn In Kabale Town
A camp of eight tents was set up
And that was due to the main building only offering six beds
While our competitors were 12 and there were also judges to cater for too
They assembled at Cephas Inn on the other side of the road, above the town of Kabale
Many among them were veterans and were pleased to receive a photo from last time
This is the photo, from Kisoro Town in November 2015
And this is a group photo from this very evening
The Silverchef 2015 winner, Banis, will be a judge (in green) and there is manager David of Virunga Lodge (left) but the rest are all competitors
Their evening activity was a guided walk through Kabale Town
Followed by an excellent buffet dinner, sponsored by Kazinga Tours to mark their 10th anniversary
Goooooooood morning from the Silverchef 2016 camp!
It’s early morning and everyone is up already
Warm breakfast served at Gad Inn
The judges fine-tuning their criteria
And the last judge has arrived as well!
The first shift of competitors are already at Cephas Inn – Gorilla Highlands Silverchef 2016 has BEGUN!
From now on Abby of Peace Corps will be the photoreporter – a proper report to follow by night
