On 1 May 2016 BirdNest Resort at Lake Bunyonyi opened a conference hall under its trademark grass-thatched roof. This special space of 150 m² can host up to 60 people. Its conference desks have power and USB ports for charging, there are two microphones, 4G microwave wireless network, a large screen and a projector. The price to hire the facility is USh 450,000 ($190).
The first group to try it out was from the Infectious Disease Institute – Mulago Hospital division.
