Job Title: Gorilla Highlands Experts Office Coordinator
Location: Musanze, Rwanda
Engagement Starts: 14 October 2026
Job Interviews: 10 October 2026
Application Deadline: 4 October 2026

Are you a Rwandan aged 18 or above who is eager to join one of the biggest global businesses — the travel industry? Do you care about the nature and cultures of the Gorilla Highlands region shared by Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo?

This is your opportunity to join a small team of an award-winning tour company based in Musanze!

If selected, you will get involved in all aspects of work by Gorilla Highlands Experts (GHE). We expect you to have interest in not only travel activities but also their economic, social and environmental impact. Experience with writing and (social) media production — or at least passion for it — will be a big bonus.

You will begin with a 3-month probation; upon assessment we will then offer you a 2-year renewable contract (because of the training you will need, we are asking for long-term commitment). We hope you stay with us for many years and one day become, for example, an operations manager!

This part-time job will be compatible with further studies, as long as you do them in Musanze or online. You will be expected to work 5 hours per day from Monday to Saturday.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
• readiness to learn, learn, learn
• love for customer service and working with people from different cultures
• good command of spoken and written English (French, Swahili or other languages are a bonus)
• decent computer skills
• open-mindedness and willingness to get involved with any kind of work
• determination to thoroughly study the content on gorillahighlands.com before you even apply (the application form includes related questions)
• prior experience with travel business or GHE work will be an advantage (but not a requirement!)

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
• covering the morning or afternoon shift on a rotating basis, keeping the GHE office running
throughout and handing over cleanly to the next shift
• monitoring all GHE communications channels and responding as needed
• maintaining the GHE collaboration platforms and calendars
• preparing tour, trek and activity itineraries and budgeting for them
• coordinating tours, treks and activities from the office: bookings, guest correspondence,
permits, guide assignments and arrangements with lodges and transporters
• recording and following up on payments, and keeping financial records up to date
• following up on outstanding client and partner payment commitments
• posting transactions in the accounting and booking systems
• preparing invoices, receipts, reconciliations, balances, reports and related tax transactions
• supporting GHE non-profit work
• any other business

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO STUDY ON THE JOB:
• Gorilla Highlands Ambassador’s Field Notes
• regular webinars, courses and other work-related online programs

WHAT BENEFITS WE CAN OFFER TO YOU:
• RWF 150,000 per month during your probation; later remuneration will be defined in your contract based on your abilities and responsibilities
• travel throughout the region
• opportunities to express your talents in different GHE fields

WHAT NEXT:
Please fill in the form by Sunday, 4 October 2026 — you will also need to upload a CV/Resume. By Wednesday, 7 October we will contact all selected candidates and invite them for a job interview that will be held on Saturday, 10 October. If chosen for the probation, you will begin on Wednesday, 14 October.

ATTENTION: Use of AI for answering the questions in the form may result in disqualification.
