Bootcamp Invite: Get Your Hands Dirty, or Join Online

📁

The Gorilla Highlands (GH) bootcamp is intended to prepare and motivate the people expected to take our initiative to the next level. It was originally envisaged as a team-building exercise for MYL, the GH agents in Kigali, but we have decided to open it up to other multimedia/marketing participants. Whoever would wish to join should contact us here and be considered.

The bootcamp will take place at Edirisa on Lake Bunyonyi from Saturday 19/11 to (at least) Wednesday 23/11/2016. Edirisa will sponsor dormitory-style accommodation, staff meals and all activities.

If you cannot join us physically, we will be happy to adjust to your schedules and involve you online.

The plan is to prepare:
– general GH marketing plan (based on the already-existing Digital Media Plan that will be emailed to all participants)
– social media strategy and calendar
– everything needed for (bi)monthly GH talkshows in Kigali
– stories for the GH blog

We want to give in-depth coverage to the following GH projects:
Video Map
Pocket Guide
Interactive eBook
regional booking system for Rwanda and Uganda

But, above all, we want to expose everyone to the Gorilla Highlands Trails, our system of guided trips.

Tentative program:

Sat 19/11:
arrival at Edirisa before 1pm
motorboat trip and campfire together with the SafeMotos team (about 30 of them will be around over the weekend)

Sun 20/11:
participation at the Culture on the Crest/Touch of Bunyonyi trip for Matoke Tours or the SafeMotos climb to Arcadia Cottages
island overnight at Tom’s Homestay

Mon 21/11:
morning: group sessions
afternoon: individual work

Tue 22/11:
participation at Batwa Today for Matoke Tours

Wed 23/11:
morning: group sessions
afternoon: individual work

Your stay can be extended past Wednesday.
