This weekend — on 2 November 2025 to be exact — Sean from America begins his 6-day Ultimate Hike through Uganda’s stunning highlands, and he’s looking for company!
THE MAN
This 38-year-old trekking enthusiast grew up hiking California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. Since 2016, he’s worked as a logistician with Doctors Without Borders across Central and Eastern Africa. Now he’s excited to explore the beauty of southwestern Uganda and would love to share the experience.
THE ROUTE
The hike follows our usual Ultimate Hike itinerary with one modification: due to time constraints, the Volcano Quest route from Lake Bunyonyi to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park will be compressed to two days. On 4 November, Sean will track gorillas in Mgahinga, then complete the 3-day Parks Reunited trek across Lake Mutanda and through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Buhoma.
