The world of short-post social media is in flux at the moment, and we’re placing our bet on Bluesky. Throughout the rest of 2024 we shall be experimenting with this 5-year-old app/website that is growing dramatically and currently boasts 20 million users.
Our mission is to create a vibrant community and a cool medium for like-minded people who care about our transboundary region and planet — its nature, cultures, prosperity, and peace. It’s called Gorilla Highlands Unpacked.
By joining us now you’ll become a trailblazer, expected to demonstrate some flexibility, patience, and creativity as we shape this space together. Come 1 January 2025, we should be set to welcome the general public with our take on a Bluesky feature called a “starter pack”. This is a welcome gift we can offer to new users, mixing together a variety of information sources to help them hit the ground running.
Our ambition is to end up with a digital destination that provides:
- a digest of thought-provoking content
- inspiration for meaningful action
- a communal experience that fosters connection and collaboration
