The Gorilla Highlands Experts video team has put together a little production about two weeks spent on Ugandan roads in 2025, with the highlight being the Illumineers’ Friendship Camp. Hard to believe they were able to pull together such a complete story from an amateur’s disparate shots and recordings! It brings back great memories and a desire to go back, doesn’t it? Milan Verdonk was a budget tours creator and article writer at Edirisa on Lake Bunyonyi in 2025–26, on a six-month Gorilla Highlands Experts internship with UCLL from Belgium. Growing up, he played gymnastics and football, and after completing three internships in social work, decided to explore the tourism potential of our region.
